Sound can be such a crucial part of the overall make up of a brand’s personality – quite literally its voice. It can express the character of a brand across multiple channels from advertising and animated identities through to websites. It can be an intrinsic part of the product itself such as a mobile ring tone or the sound of a program, or app, booting up.
Our music partners; Banks & Wag are highly experienced in creating original bespoke soundtracks for brands and media and work closely with BrandVoice to deliver innovative sound signatures for brands. We create sonic branding, music for films and TV, presentations, games and retail environments all help define the brand. Good branding should engage all the senses.
Since playing together in indie bands during the Nineties, Chris Banks and Wag Marshall-Page have toured and recorded with a plethora of British pop acts including Sugababes, McFly, Busted, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and Infadels; and classical artists such as Julian Lloyd-Webber, Dame Evelyn Glennie, and Bond.
As composers, the pair have written for a wealth of commercials from Mercedes to Mini; and TV shows as diverse as The X Factor, Blue Peter, Strictly Dance Fever, The National Lottery, Ross Noble’s Australian Trip, and Spain’s Tele Madrid News, winning a Silver Broadcast Design Award for Best News Theme.
Their title song for Danny Wallace’s acclaimed How To Start Your Own Country was described as “brilliant” by the Radio Times, “dangerously catchy” by Bella Online, and “worthy of Top Of The Pops” by the Daily Mirror. The series went on to win two BAFTAs and spawned an iTunes #1 single in 2005.
Banks’ Space Pirates theme tune became a surprise smash in 2007, described as “genius” by the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, prompting remixes and cover versions on YouTube, and topping the iTunes Children’s Chart for 11 weeks. The show was also nominated for a Children’s BAFTA.
Banks & Wag’s songs for ZingZillas have helped make the series a huge hit, still breaking records all over the world. The “band” made their Glastonbury debut in 2011, and will undertake a UK arena tour in 2012.
With our music partners we have a passion for creating a unique and engaging sonic identity for your brand.
